Story

Even the greatest wizards make mistakes. That's what you told the villagers of Swampmoor when the fire spell you cast to light the candle on the village elder's birthday cupcake went awry and torched the only tavern in town. The villagers weren't in a forgiving mood, however, and chased you out of town with pitchforks, torches and a lot of hostility. That's what you get for trying to liven up a celebration...

Things got worse when it started to rain. You hadn't thought to grab your umbrella, with the angry mob calling for your head and whatnot.

Drenched, cold, alone and hungry (that cupcake would hit the spot right about now), you wander the rocky beach east of the village.

Your wanderings come to an abrupt halt when you trip on something sticking out of the sand and fall on your face. The half-buried item is an ironbound chest, and inside the chest is a magical book! It blasts you with power when you open it, but after you regain consciousness and put out the flames in your hair you know that your prayers have been answered, and that revenge will be sweet...
